North Derry Primary School Camogie Blitz @ Owenbeg



St Canice Primary School done the double in Owenbeg on Friday as well as winning the Hurling Championship they where also victorious winning the 9 aside Camogie Tournament as well.

All County Primary School Hurling Championship @ Owenbeg

Last Friday the Hurlers of St Canices won the All County Primary School Hurling Blitz at Owenbeg, defeating Lavey in the Final.

Maghera Hurling/Camogie Blitz - St Canice PS



The Hurlers of St Canices won the A Section of Annual Hurling Tournament at Maghera run by St Patricks Maghera, They defeated St Johns Swatragh in the Final.

The Camogie Team from St. Canices where unlucky not to qualify from their groups to get a spot in the semi finals, but they stayed on to give the boys support in the finals.

DUDEY POSTER


Dudey will defend his European light welter weight title when he faces challenger Giuseppe Lauri at the King’s Hall, Belfast on Friday 11th June. The undefeated Dungiven southpaw extended his perfect record to 20 straight wins with a stoppage victory over Daniel Rasilla.

St Canice PS Dungiven win North Derry Primary Schools Championship

The 9 a side team of St Canice Primary School beat St Mary's PS Altinure in the final of the N.Derry Primary Schools championship today at Owenbeg.



Joint captains Stiofan and Fergal being presented Trophy by Francis Scullion.

U12 Road to Croker @ Croke Park

Over the winter months, Derry GAA held an under-12 program consisting of an indoor football / hurling competition styled "The Road to Croker". All participating clubs were entered into a free draw for an all expenses paid day trip to Croke Park, courtesy of Club Derry.

The U12, footballers of St Canice’s Dungiven won the draw, and on Tuesday 6th April 2010 they got the chance to play on the famous Croke Park turf.

Children from St Canice Primary School Travelled to Roe Valley Leisure Centre on Tue 25th May, where they met Uachtarán Cumann Peil na mBan Pat Quill

St Canice Primary School took part in the Féile Dhoire Primary School's Football Festival, They where lucky to meet journalist Jerome Quinn who produced a Feile Welcome Video using the children from St. Canices, Click here to view the video by Jerome.


Above is the boys and girls teams of St. Canice Primary School who took part along with 700 boys and girls from all over Derry, in the Festival of Football at Owenbeg as part of the build up to Féile Dhoire 2010.
